## What can the Archive do?
The new archive for data hosted by KIS can be found at sdc.leibniz-kis.de](https://sdc.leibniz-kis.de). The archive is publically available since the beginning of 2019 and started out with data from the [Gregor Infrared Spectrograph](http://www.leibniz-kis.de/en/observatories/gregor/scientific-instruments/) and has since kept on expanding features and data content. A summary of the projects state as of December 2019 can be found [here](https://wolke7.leibniz-kis.de/s/FYQpimepSFaZfzb). We can accomplish the following tasks:

We can currently accomplish the following tasks:
* Host your data and ensure that it is not lost. We provide catastrophe safety as well as a definitive source for the most up-to-date data.
* Allow complex searches such as combined spatial, spectral and temporal querises as well as custom queries like specific filters or instrument modes.
* Visualize which dates are covered by your instrument.
* Disseminate your data to anyone via a webpage and Upcoming:~~via the IVOA Virtual Observatory~~

* Visualize observations with user-generated preview images and context data such as movies, log files or single image previews. This makes sorting, finding and talking about data a lot easier.
